Elvis Presley’s Graceland to Host General Hospital Fan Celebration Weekend: January 18 – 20, 2019

Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee will host the General Hospital Fan Celebration January 18-20, 2019. The daytime television medical drama is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running American soap opera in production and the second longest-running drama in television in American history. The Fan Celebration Weekend, which has been officially sanctioned by ABC, boasts more access to top talent from the show and numerous special events which will be held in various locations throughout the Graceland Campus, including Elvis Presley’s Memphis entertainment and exhibit complex and the AAA rated Four Diamond  luxury resort, The Guest House at Graceland.

To date, the stars confirmed to attend include Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, Jr.), Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos), Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford), Finola Hughes (Alex Devane), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine), Josh Swickard (Detective Harrison Chase), Briana Nichol Henry (Jordan Ashford), Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the show’s Executive Producer Frank Valentini.

“I’m excited to meet with the fans and have them spend the weekend with the extremely talented cast of General Hospital. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in a historic location,” stated Frank Valentini.

Several hundred General Hospital fans from around the world will gather at Graceland to attend various panels where the stars will share their favorite memories from the show, answer questions from the audience, and participate in autograph signings and exclusive photo opportunities. Themed parties, such as “The Live Nurses’ Ball” where the winner will win a walk-on role on the soap, and more.

“Metro Court Hotel Lounge Party” are also programmed, as are screenings of classic episodes, blooper reels and never-before-seen content.

One of the weekend’s highlights is a full concert with GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, Rick Springfield. Springfield has sold 25 million albums and earned 17 U.S. Top 10 hits. He also appeared as fan-favorite Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital for many years, beginning in 1981.

In addition to all the celebrity-filled General Hospital events, attendees will enjoy touring Graceland like a King! They’ll visit the iconic mansion that Elvis called home; Elvis Presley’s Memphis – a 200,000 square foot entertainment complex filled with museum exhibits, shops and restaurants; and Elvis’ custom jets. Guests will also attend a personal Graceland Archives show and tell session; enjoy an exclusive Elvis-themed photo opportunity and have the option to purchase exclusive General Hospital merchandise only available to attendees.
