Memphis Boutique Shopping Guide
Kim Thomas, a Memphis fashion and lifestyle blogger at KPFusion, shares her favorite Memphis shopping boutique picks.
Memphis is well-known for its delicious BBQ and cool blue suede shoes, but there’s something to be said about the shopping scene here as well. Charming boutiques filled with on-trend must-haves and unique finds are prevalent in the heart of the city, so when you find yourself getting out to explore what this city has to offer, be sure to add these independently owned boutiques to your list:
20Twelve 2531 Broad Avenue Memphis, Tennessee 38112
If you’re a fashionista looking for a little luxury shopping, 20Twelve is the way to go. Filled with brands like Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli and Giambattista Valli, this ultra-modern boutique is a sleek standout in the Broad Avenue Arts District. This chic little shop has a carefully curated offering of fashion and lifestyle clothing, accessories and home decor.
City & State 2625 Broad Ave Memphis, TN 38112
Although technically not a boutique, City & State deserves a mention for its super cool gift shop. It has an amazing selection of colognes, accessories and grooming products for men (who sometimes get left out!), and they carry American made brands like Herbivore Botanicals, David Aubrey Jewelry, Dorfman Pacific and Paper & Clay. Grab a great cup of coffee and “happy” for yourself while you wait!
Crazy Beautiful 2111 Madison Avenue Memphis, TN 38104
If you love boho-eclectic clothing and accessories, Crazy Beautiful is the place to go to stock up on fun, trendy styles without breaking the bank. A local favorite since 2004, they’re known for carrying fashion forward denim, jewelry + accessories, and the cutest little cards and gifts that you’ll want to keep for yourself.
Eclectic Eye 242 South Cooper Street Memphis, TN 38104
This isn’t your average eyewear store. With an eclectic mix of unusual, handmade, and luxury eyewear, Eclectic Eye is a premier destination for the eyewear lover that wants to stand out from head to toe. In addition to having on-site optometry services, they also support the local artist community by partnering with creatives and hosting trunk shows and artist showcases. Brands include MOSCOT, KREWE and Francis Klein Paris.
The Ivory Closet 2095 Madison Ave, Memphis, TN 38104
Just a few steps down from Crazy Beautiful in Overton Square, The Ivory Closet has an affordable mix of fun, flirty and casual styles for every age. With a wide array of jewelry, shoes and beauty products, it’s a sweet shop to pop in to find gifts for your friends or to put a look or 2 together after an afternoon of brunching with your mom.
Fox + Cat Vintage 2153 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38104
True vintage lovers rejoice: if you live for the hunt of discovering designer vintage clothes, jewelry and accessories from eras gone by, FOX+CATVINTAGE is the boutique for you. Items can be dated anywhere from the late 1800s to the mid-1990s, however the inventory is curated in a contemporary way so that looks are still modern and fresh.
No matter what brings you to Memphis, these local favorites are worth checking out.
Stay at The Guest House at Graceland and all of these fabulous shops are just quick drive (or Uber) away.
