AAA.com – Checking In At The Guest House at Graceland
August 2017 – Jill Gleeson, AAA.com
He’s been gone four decades this August 16, but the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll remains a seriously hot ticket. Last year, Elvis Presley—who is estimated to have sold more than a billion records worldwide—added a million or so to the tally, while Graceland, his oddly compelling Memphis, Tennessee mansion, that’s been open to the public since 1992, celebrated its 20 millionth visitor.
This year’s highlight was the glitzy debut of The Guest House at Graceland in October, a boutique hotel designed in part by the King’s long-ago queen herself, Priscilla Presley, who cut the ribbon at the property’s opening.
